Every year, on the 8th of March, we join hands with the world to honour women, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society and emphasizing the critical need for their inclusion as the world evolves in the 21st century. At Prembly, our Diversity and Equality Initiatives always hold a deep respect for the pivotal roles women play in our community, and this understanding has shaped our various initiatives to ensure we give women the recognition and opportunities they deserve, both within and beyond our organization.
As we mark International Women’s Day 2024, it’s a poignant moment for us to reflect on our steadfast commitment to promoting gender equality and nurturing an inclusive environment. We stand at the forefront of this movement, celebrating our journey towards empowering women, dismantling obstacles, and rewriting the narrative of diversity in the workplace. Over the years, we’ve launched various strategies to uphold our core values of fortifying the security and compliance landscape and fostering a world where everyone is welcomed, regardless of their gender. Today, in alignment with the 2024 International Women’s Day theme “Inspire Inclusion,” we seize this opportunity to spotlight how we’ve been championing inclusion within and beyond our community.
Bridging the Gender Gap in the Tech Industry
Prembly’s commitment to inclusion deeply roots in our dedication to closing the gender gap in the tech industry. The tech industry widely acknowledges the significant underrepresentation of women in tech roles. As a company, we’ve actively sought strategies to recruit, retain, and empower more women. By cultivating a supportive environment and adopting inclusive hiring practices, we’ve welcomed more women into our team, including in Engineering and other technical roles, thereby driving innovation and challenging existing stereotypes.
Prioritizing Women’s Health and Wellbeing
We recognize that supporting women’s health is critical to fostering inclusivity in the workplace. As part of our comprehensive approach to employee wellbeing, we launched an initiative last year that provides monthly period care boxes, ensuring our female employees have access to essential menstrual hygiene products. By normalizing conversations around menstruation and prioritizing menstrual care, we empower our women to excel at work without compromising their health or dignity.
Empowering Women in Leadership
We firmly believe that true inclusion starts at the top. We’ve demonstrated our commitment to empowering women by involving them in various leadership roles, enabling them to drive organizational change. Way over 40% of the women at Prembly serve as product owners and leaders, spearheading strategic initiatives and shaping the company’s direction. Through mentorship, support networks, and leadership development programs, Prembly nurtures a pipeline of female leaders, challenging stereotypes and paving the way for gender equality in leadership.
Promoting Equal Learning Opportunities
At Prembly, we know that learning has no boundaries of gender. In our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous growth and development, we provide all employees equal opportunities for learning and skill development. Through comprehensive training programs, partnerships with global learning institutions such as Udemy, Nexford University, and most recently, Stanford Program, along with other significant workshops and mentorship initiatives, we empower our women to enhance their skills, advance their careers, and pursue their professional aspirations without limitations or biases.
Advocacy and Representation
We recognize the power of representation in driving meaningful change. That’s why we actively encourage and amplify the voices of women within and beyond our organization. Prembly provides platforms for its female employees to represent the organization, share their experiences, and advocate for gender equality in the broader community. Our women inspire others and catalyze progress towards a more inclusive society by leveraging their influence and visibility.
